As I am preparing to launch my new 11 day Spring Clean Eating Program, I have decided to test-drive it for you, so you have an idea how it goes. And also I’ve been eating too much grains lately which affected my belly size π My goal is to flatten my stomach π
The 11 day Spring Clean Eating Program is based on elimination diet, meaning gluten free, grain free, nut free (apart from almond milk), as these are the most allergen foods.
As my day started early, I was up at 5:15am. I’ve started my day with some Lemon Water Elixir, which I do anyway every morning for the past 2 years. It stimulates the digestion, balances the pH level, removes acid waste from the body and releases toxins from the liver.
I’ve prepared almond milk from 1 cup pre-soaked almonds. Made a delicious tahini smoothie to take away with me as I had back to back sessions. I only finished my smoothie before my 3rd session at 10:30, it was really filling.
Had some pumpkin seeds as a snack around midday. I only managed to have my lunch around 3pm, Spring Salad with tahini-grapefruit dressing which was very tasty too. I had some coconut water for more hydration in between.
My husband also joined me to do the detox, and he was quite eager to have dinner when he got home π We had pok choi with black sesame and baked fish.
We also had a glass of cranberry flush in the afternoon, which helps flushing the lymphatic system and good for weight loss.
In the eve, I prepared our chia pudding breakfast for the next day, and made some flax crackers for snack.
I finished my day with a cup of dandelion tea (great for liver detox) and the first part of Deepak Chopra’s Chakra Balancing meditation.
I felt good throughout the whole day, though I did think of having some baked goods π
Love,
Andrea
